1. University  Requirements

Students are assessed on the basis of their performance in course examinations and other assignments. The grading system is as follows:

2. Programme Requirements

A student is required to take a minimum of 8 postgraduate courses (24 credits in total), within a normal period of two years (Part-time mode) or one year (Full-time mode) of which 3 should be required courses and 5 should be elective courses. An exemption from a required course may be sought provided that the student has a sufficient background and knowledge in the required course. The exempted course must be replaced with an approved elective course. Other MSc courses from the Faculty of Engineering may be taken as electives with the approval of the Division Head.  A student is required to complete the prescribed coursework with a cumulative grade-point average of 2.0 or above.

3. IT Proficiency Test

All students who admitted to the programme on or before 2011/12 academic year must fulfill the ‘IT Proficiency Requirement’ as stipulated by Graduate School Secretariat, please refer to the ‘Postgraduate Prospectus’ of the Chinese University of Hong Kong or the Graduate School homepage” http://www.cuhk.edu.hk/gss for details on such requirement.
